DAY 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountain – Ait Ben haddou – Draa valley – Zagora

For this 2 tour from Marrakech to Zagora desert tour, we will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel at 8 a.m. and drive you to the magnificent High Atlas Mountains. The trip through little Berber settlements and verdant fields will be breathtaking as we cross Morocco’s highest mountain peak, the Tizin Tichka pass (2260 meters high). The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a world-famous ancient Kasbah that has served as a filming site for many worldwide movies, shows, and photoshoots, will be our first visit of the day.

After that, we’ll travel to nearby Ouarzazate, often known as Morocco’s Hollywood, for lunch and rest. Moving on with our expedition, we will begin driving around the north-eastern part of the Anti Atlas region, stopping frequently to view the stunning scenery. After a brief break at Agdez, we will proceed across the Great Draa Valley, where you will get the opportunity to see Morocco’s largest palm tree farm.

Arriving to Zargora desert

We will arrive to Zagora desert dunes in the early evening, where you will saddle and ride a camel through the desert as the sun sets in the sky. Our camels will then guide us to a desert tent concealed among the dunes, where we will spend the night. Dinner will be a traditional Berber cuisine, with Berber music playing in the background to keep you entertained. Finally, you can stargaze or meditate while taking in the desert solitude, with stars and constellations lighting up the night sky. Overnight in a desert camp.

DAY 2: Zagora – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Tizi Ntichka – Marrakech

Your desert guide will wake you up this morning to enjoy the sunrise. The first rays of the morning sun fall on the desert dunes, creating a view that can only be described as wonderful. Following that, we will ride the camels back to our vehicles, taking in the scenery of the desert sands. Then we’ll return to Ouarzazate for lunch and a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt. Finally, we’ll be on our way back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening. Our tour officially concludes when we drop you off at your hotel.
