Day 1: Depart from Casablanca and travel to Fes, with a stop en route to see the Hassan II Mosque, which is considered to be one of the largest mosques in the world. In the evening, make your way through the lovely Medina of Fes.

The next day, you will leave Fes and go to Merzouga. En route, you will stop in the picturesque village of Ifrane and the Ziz Valley. As you ride your camel into the dunes of the desert, your guide will prepare a traditional Moroccan meal for you to eat while you sit around a campfire and gaze at the stars.

Day 3 begins with an early wake-up call so you may catch the dawn over the sand dunes. Take a tour through the desert to investigate the Erg Chebbi sand dunes and stop by a nomad camp. You will have another typical Moroccan meal and a campfire when you get back to your campsite.

On day four, you will leave Merzouga and travel to Ouarzazate. En route, you will stop to explore the Todra Gorge and the village of Tinghir. Visit the Ouarzazate Film Studios upon arriving in Ouarzazate. This is the location where a number of well-known films have been shot.

Day 5: Depart from Ouarzazate and travel to Marrakech, making stops to see the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and the Telouet Kasbah along the route. Day 6: Arrive in Marrakech. In the evening, you should go check out the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

On day six, you will leave Marrakech and begin your journey back to Casablanca. En route, you will stop to explore the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis.

This journey is an excellent way to see the best that Morocco has to offer, from its breathtaking natural scenery to its abundant culture and history. In addition to that, you will have the chance to witness firsthand the enchantment that is the Sahara Desert.

Trip itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca to Chefchaouen

Your trip will begin with a transfer from Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) to your hotel in Casablanca. After dropping off your luggage, you will visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most impressive mosques in the world.

In the afternoon, you will transfer to Chefchaouen, a picturesque town in the Rif Mountains known for its whitewashed buildings. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel and drop off your luggage before exploring the medina (old town).

Chefchaouen’s medina is a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys lined with traditional stores and cafes. You will have the opportunity to stroll around and soak up the atmosphere, or you can visit some of the city’s main attractions, such as the Kasbah Museum and the Grand Mosque.

In the evening, you will dine in a restaurant in the medina overlooking the surrounding mountains.

Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fez

After breakfast, you will attend a cooking class to learn how to prepare some of your favorite Moroccan dishes. After lunch, you will transfer to Fez, one of Morocco’s imperial cities.

Upon arrival in Fez, you will check into your hotel and drop off your luggage before visiting the Chouara tannery, one of the oldest and largest tanneries in the world. You will then explore the medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest and best preserved medieval medinas in the world.

In the evening, you will dine in a medina restaurant with traditional Moroccan music and shows.

Day 3: From Fez to Merzouga

After breakfast, you will take a guided tour of the medina of Fez, visiting the main sights such as the Chouara tannery, the Attarine Madrasa and the Bou Inania Madrasa.

After lunch, we will transfer to Merzouga, a village on the edge of the Sahara desert. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel and leave your luggage before heading into the desert on the back of a camel.

You will watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars.

Day 4: From Merzouga to Dades

After an early wake up to see the sunrise over the dunes, you will return to your hotel on the back of a camel. After breakfast and shower, you will transfer to Dades, a village in the High Atlas Mountains.

Upon arrival in Dades, you will check in at the hotel and drop off your luggage before visiting the Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with towering cliffs and a river running through it. Next, you will visit the Dades Gorges, a series of dramatic gorges with winding paths and waterfalls.

In the evening, you will have dinner at your hotel in Dades.

Day 5: From Dades to Marrakech

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most popular tourist destinations.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will check into your hotel and drop off your luggage before visiting the Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakech’s main square. Jemaa el-Fnaa is a vibrant and bustling square filled with food stalls, snake charmers, musicians and more.

You will also visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, and the Bahia Palace, a 19th century palace with beautiful gardens and courtyards.

In the evening, you will dine at a restaurant in Jemaa el-Fnaa with traditional Moroccan music and shows.

Day 6: Marrakech to Casablanca

After breakfast, you will take a guided tour of the medina of Marrakech, visiting the main sights such as Jemaa el-Fnaa, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace.

After lunch, transfer to Casablanca (approximately 3 hours drive). Your excursion will end with a transfer to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) for your flight back home.
