Day 1: Marrakech to Dades

Your 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins in the bustling city center of Marrakech. After meeting your guide and group, you’ll board a comfortable minibus and set off on the scenic drive to the Dades Valley.

Along the way, you’ll pass through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping to admire the stunning scenery and take in the fresh mountain air. You’ll also make a stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that has been used as a filming location for many Hollywood movies, including “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Gladiator.”

After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll continue your drive to the Dades Valley, a stunning region known for its dramatic gorges and palm groves. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Dades to Merzouga

On the second day of your tour, you’ll wake up early to a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Then, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to the Todra Gorge, a towering canyon with red rock walls that reach up to 300 meters high.

Once you arrive at the Todra Gorge, you’ll have time to take a walk through the canyon and admire the stunning scenery. You may even want to try your hand at rock climbing or rappelling! After lunch, you’ll continue your drive to Merzouga, a small village on the edge of the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll check into your desert camp and leave your luggage. Then, you’ll embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, a vast sea of sand dunes that stretch as far as the eye can see.

As you ride your camel through the dunes, you’ll feel the warm desert sand between your toes and the cool Sahara breeze on your face. You’ll also have the opportunity to watch the sunset from the top of a dune, an experience you’ll never forget.

After sunset, you’ll return to your desert camp for dinner and overnight. You’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and spend the night under the stars in a traditional Berber tent.

Day 3: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

On the third day of your tour, you’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. It’s an incredible sight to see the golden sun rise over the vast sea of sand.

After sunrise, you’ll enjoy breakfast at your camp before taking a camel ride back to Merzouga. You’ll then check out of your camp and drive to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco.”

Ouarzazate is home to Atlas Film Studios, where many famous movies have been filmed, including “Gladiator,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” and “The Mummy.” You’ll have the opportunity to visit the film studios and learn about the history of filmmaking in Morocco.

After lunch in Ouarzazate, you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

On the fourth and final day of your tour, you’ll wake up early to breakfast at your hotel. Then, you’ll visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a beautiful 17th-century kasbah (fortified village).

After visiting the Taourirt Kasbah, you’ll begin your drive back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. You’ll stop along the way to admire the stunning scenery and take in the fresh mountain air.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you’ll be transferred to your hotel or to the airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements.
