On the third day, leave the Dades Valley towards Merzouga, pausing along the way to see the Todra Gorge. Mount your camel and ride into the dunes for a traditional Moroccan supper and a campfire under the sky.
Day 4: Get up early to see the dawn over the dunes. Return your camel to Merzouga and continue on to Fes, stopping in Rissani along the way. In the evening, stroll through Fes’s lovely medina.
Day 5: Depart Fes for Casablanca, stopping along the way to see the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
Trip itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca to Marrakech (240 km)
Your adventure begins in Casablanca, where you will meet your driver and guide. From there, you will embark on a picturesque trip to Marrakech, Morocco’s “Red City.”
You will stop along the journey to see the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques. You will continue your journey to Marrakech after lunch, arriving in the late afternoon.
You will check into your hotel and have some time to rest upon arrival. In the evening, visit the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa plaza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 2: Marrakech to Dades (320 km)
After breakfast, you will leave Marrakech for the Dades Valley. You will stop along the way to see the Ouzoud Waterfalls, Morocco’s highest waterfall.
After lunch, you’ll continue on to the Dades Valley, a breathtaking canyon with towering rock formations and lush palm plantations. You will check into your hotel and have some time to rest upon arrival.
In the evening, take a stroll along the Dades Gorge and take in the breathtaking surroundings.
Day 3: Dades to Merzouga (300 km)
After breakfast, you will leave the Dades Valley for Merzouga, a little town on the outskirts of the Sahara Desert.
You’ll stop along the way to see the Todra Gorge, another magnificent canyon with towering rock formations. You will continue your journey to Merzouga after lunch.
You will check into your hotel and have some time to rest upon arrival. You will board your camel and ride towards the desert dunes in the dusk.
Enjoy the sunset over the sand dunes and the solitude of the desert night as you ride. When you arrive at your camp, you will be welcomed with a traditional Moroccan dinner and a bonfire.
Day 4: Merzouga to Fes (450 km)
You’ll get up early this morning to view the dawn over the desert dunes. After breakfast, you will return to Merzouga on your camel.
After that, you will check out of your accommodation and depart for Fes. Along the route, you’ll stop in Rissani, which is noted for its traditional market.
When you arrive in Fes, you will check into your hotel and enjoy some free time. In the evening, tour Fes’s magnificent medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 5: Fes to Casablanca (320 km)
After breakfast, you will leave Fes and return to Casablanca. You will stop along the trip to see the UNESCO World Heritage Site Roman remains of Volubilis.
You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport upon arrival in Casablanca, depending on your request.
